CPC Scene got also a relooking, with now news, forums and articles.

The online magazine for Amstrad CPC, PCW, NC and PC CPC Oxygen moved to a new web address.

PhrozenC has been updated to v1.1 :

• CC (Win32) Fixed crash when included file does not exist
• Fixed crash when calling CC with a C file entirely created on a CPC
• Fixed CS RSX-command usage. Now only ROM-based, but 100% safe
• Updated documentation with compiler internal section

PhrozenC v1.0 is a K&R C compiler (Dennis Ritchie and Brian Kernighan, it's not ANSI C) for Amstrad CPC and PC by NoRecess. On PC it compiles a .C file in .ASM ready to compile with WinAPE. On CPC the .ASM file can be compiled with Maxam.

For Amstrad CPC it exists a ROM version (prefer this version), a 64 Kb version (stand-alone application) and 128 Ko version (RSX).

PhrozenC is released with a PDF manual covering all the things you have to know about to start programming using PhrozenC.

There is even a small tutorial about learning C for the newcomers. Example sources are available, as also a small set of library files handling file management, graphics, memory management, string concatenation, etc...

Caprice v2.6 for Palm OS is out.

CPCGamesCD is a live CD by MiguelSky with emulators and the NVG Amstrad game collection. It has been updated :

• Includes frontend, new CPC Loader 2.6 by Troels K.

• Includes Snap-Pack by MiguelSky (3613 images)
• Added new version 6.7 of JavaCPC emulator
• Includes CPCEmu v1.7

Orion Prime is again available in its original french package, but also in english and spanish package. If you have to offer a gift to a geek, what about Orion Prime and a sdcard HxC floppy emulator (few left for pre-ordering, maybe at this time no more, be quick...) ?

You will be able to order Orion Prime till the 30th April (payment by check or paypal). All orders will be sent by the 25th May, then the 30th june 2010, all versions will be available as a download.

Sadly there will be no german version of the package, and a german download isnt even sure, I dont know the reasons though.

DevilMarkus has written a new utility in java : Cdt2Wav, so you can use it on Windows, Linux and Mac.

For Linux and Mac users, launch the cdt2wav.jar with the following parameters : cdt2wav.jar -Xms512m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m (or set all to 256 if you want only 256 Mb max. ram usage).
