GameBase is an Open Source "Emulator Frontend", released under the GNU General Public Licence. It is a program that attempts to make running games on various emulators very easy, so that you don't have to remember lots of command line parameters and config settings. GameBase is the Official Frontend for the GB64 Collection of C64 games. It manages games, music, docs, screenshots and more

There is of course a GameBase CPC maintained by Loïc Daneels. He is adding .YM music, screenshots, scans of package and documentation.

The web site of Institut national de l'Audiovisuel (its goal is to keep archives of french television and radio) got a lifting. They also now have 200.000 televsion ads from 1968 to today. I invite you to go see ads about Amstrad products.

After some announces in 2006 and 2007, this time it's for real, the PS3 information site thesixthaxis has confirmed that David Braben officially announced Elite IV for PC, PS3 and Xbox360, but sadly not for CPC. No date is given though.

PulkoMandy has released GrafX v2 final.

It's a bitmap paint program that allows to draw in more than 60 video resolutions (from 320x200, including most of the standard Amiga resolutions, provided your videocard knows how to handle them). It was written originally for DOS, but has been modified to use SDL and modern operating systems.

Its layout is not very different from Deluxe Paint or Brilliance, so it will be quite easy to handle it if you know at least one of these programs.

If you are still programming on Amstrad CPC, you are maybe using WinAPE. But its assembler has limitations. For example, if you want to create a .DSK, a .SNA, compile something, compact something BEFORE or AFTER assembling, it's not possible in 1 pass and 1 key press. But it's now possible with some additional software (freeware).

For the 25th anniversary of Boulder dash 1, First Star Software has released Boulder Dash vol. 1, a remake on Iphone and Itouch with updated graphics or the old school graphics.

Ultimate Bruce Lee is a nice looking PC remake of Bruce Lee.

Color Lines is a G.P.A. reflexion game yet to be released. But you can download its toolkit to add your own graphic skin to the future release.
