HEXAPUCCHU The lost city of Patchucca by Titan is an Amstrad CPC game, like choose-your-own-adventure" books. It its now also available in english beside the initial french version.

Hexapucchu puts you in the shoes of a journalist on vacation in Peru. While relaxing on the beach, you stumble upon a very ancient Incan artifact, until now buried beneath the sand. This marks the beginning of an epic adventure that will lead you to explore forgotten temples, face age-old traps, and uncover a secret long buried by time itself. Guided by your instincts and curiosity, you'll need to decipher mystical symbols, avoid deadly mechanisms, and confront a legend that could change everything we thought we knew about the Incan Empire.

Tony Montezuma’s Gold by Monochrome Editions, an Amstrad CPC game is out

Tony Montezuma’s Gold by Monochrome Productions is out, it's an Amstrad CPC action game. It's a mode 2 game, which is rare on Amstrad CPC, but not a surprise with the name of Monochrome Productions ! It was shown for the first time on August 15th during the NOCNE RETRO GRANIE (NRG2025) festival, an event dedicated to the world of retro gaming and the demoscene.

Inspired by the exploits of Polish explorer and filmmaker Tony Halik, the game invites us to embark on a pixelated journey through ancient civilizations as we explore the secrets of the legendary Montezuma Castle. With a setting that pays homage to classic 1980s games, this production promises to be a gem for Amstrad CPC fans.

During NRG2025, attendees were able to try out the full demo on real Amstrad hardware, chat with the developer, and discover previously unseen details about the creative process. A special collector's edition cassette has also been announced, featuring exclusive bonus content.

Bryan Robsons Super League written by Paul Lamond Games has been preserved

Bryan Robsons Super League programmed by Paul Lamond Games is a game of football team management (with a mix of physical format with a game board and of course on the computer) for Amstrad CPC, C64 and ZX Spectrum, released in October 1985. Only available on ZX Spectrum, it wasn't yet preserved as DSK for Amstrad CPC (or C64) , it has now been done, DSK made by Shacpc.

Adventure by Will Crowther and Don Wood is a an adventure game created in the 1970s and sometimes considered like the first adventure game et parfois considéré comme le tout premier. Adventure a été réécrit par Fredrik Ramsberg et son logiciel de création PunyInform (local download of Adventure). It is available for more than 25 platforms including the Amstrad CPC and PCW.

PunyInform v6.0 by Fredrik Ramsberg and Johan Berntsson to write text adventure games

PunyInform v6.0 by Fredrik Ramsberg and Johan Berntsson is a library written in Inform 6 to create adventure game (pure text, no graphic support contrary to DAAD) using the Z-machine virtual machine which will run on 8bit computers (or more recent computers too). PunyInform has a parser, knowing of common verbs and a framework to write adventure games.

PunyInform is based on the Inform 6 library written by Graham Nelson. Its goal is to make easily adventure games in Inform 6, with a manual describing the differences between the official library and PunyInform.

Games using PunyInform can be compiled in z3, z5 and z8 format (z3 being the best format for 8bit computers, other formats have more features). Compared to the Inform 6 library, it means that there is no support for the Glulx virtual machine but z3 format is important as Inform 6 doesnt support it.

To compile games written with PunyInform, you should use the Inform 6 compiler maintained by David Kinder. Binaries are available on if-archive. PunyInform v6.x needs Inform v6.43(or more).

They are tutorials to write adventure game with PunyInform (end of the page) and all the documentation including a 8 page cheat sheet (quick reference)..

To try your game after compilation, you can use WinFrotz by David Kinder, to create map easily you can use Trizbort.

And finally, to create an Amstrad CPC and PCW disk image, you will have to use the Puddle BuildTools which works under linux, windows 1x with WSL2 or MacOS with Intel processor and OrbStack.

The Mojons Twins have just released an update to their game The Hobbit (Vah-ka's Cut) for Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum. It's an adventure game, a Zelda like game available in english and spanish. You will have to pay at least 3 euros to be able to download it.

This version 1.1 is available only as tape format for the moment. You will have to wait a bit to get a v1.1 disk version.

Mythos is an Amstrad PCW(+) platform game in 1990 by Eduardo Bellver Castan and Jose Vicente Pons ALFONSO (programmation), Jose QUERAL (graphics). It was edited by Opera Soft.

Enrique G. Gálvez has released Target Renegade for Amstrad PCW(+) in monochrome and 4 colors mode which is available with these two emulators : CP/M Box and ZEsarUX, music and effects with the Dk'Sound, the game is also faster.

Target Renegade is an Amstrad PCW(+) action game in 1988 by Mike LAMB (programmation), Dawn DRAKE (graphics) and Gary BIASILLO (music), with a cover by Bob WAKELIN. It was edited by Imagine Software (a label by Ocean Software).

Enrique G. Gálvez has released two days ago Target Renegade for Amstrad PCW(+) in 4 colors modes which are available with these two emulators : CP/M Box and ZEsarUX, music and effects with the Dk'Sound, joystick support and two players available.

Silk Dust v1.0.3 is a text adventure game by Davide Bucci. This version corrects an important bug which was preventing to finish the second part of the game.

Here is the introduction of the game : Today is April 19, 1907. You, Emilia Vittorini, arrived yesterday in Varenna, on the shore of the beautiful Lake Como. You are hosted at the magnificent Villa Briccorosso; Princess Lucilla Briccorosso is preparing the Silk Road Race, a 10,000km rally raid between Cairo in Egypt and Peking in China, to be done by car. You represent ITA, founded by your father, the company that built the car the Princess just bought to use during the rally. The car is supposed to be delivered today. Your role will be to assist the delivery and make sure everything is perfectly functional.
